Are you applying coat after coat of mascara in hopes that your lashes will appear thicker or longer? You may be left with clumps of mascara covering your lashes if you do it this way. And if you live in the Denver CO and Westminster area, Rocky Mountain Skin Care Clinic may have your answer … Latisse® for Eyelashes!
About our Latisse® for Eyelashes services
Latisse® is a FDA-approved prescription serum used to help darken, thicken and lengthen eyelashes. No more coats and clumps of mascara falling off your lashes.
How does Latisse® work?
The science behind Latisse® suggests that during the use of the serum, your lashes are taken out of a hibernation or dormant state and stimulated into a growth state or cycle. Continued use or daily use will keep your lashes in that growth state. This creates new lash growth while also thickening and darkening your eyelashes.
Do you need a prescription to use Latisse®?
Yes. Latisse® is not an OTC (over the counter) medication. Instead, it is a treatment that requires a consultation with our medical provider. During the consultation, side effects and any questions you may have can be discussed. You can then receive a prescription and buy Latisse® immediately in the clinic so you can start your journey to beautiful lashes.
How long does my prescription of Latisse® last?
A prescription of 3 ml will last 30 days of application to the upper lash line everyday. You can use mascara over the lashes or use the Latisse® at night prior to bedtime. Results, on average, can be seen within 30 days but may take up to 3 to 6 months to see dramatic changes and results. Once you’ve had a consultation with a medical provider, you can continue using Latisse® monthly.
What conditions may prevent me from using Latisse®?
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Muscular swelling or degeneration
- Artificial eye lens
- Inflammation of the iris
- Allergies to possible ingredients
**All precautions are considered during your consultation with the medial provider.
How is Latisse® applied?
A 30 day supply of sterile applicators are provided. Everyday you will apply the serum to your upper lash line only. Lower lash line application is not recommended as it may enter the eye too easily and cause irritation.
